Hearts United and Lives Transformed

Posted on July 9, 2025July 9, 2025 by Joice Villamor

We’re halfway through the year, and I’m filled with awe and gratitude for how God is moving in our church and community. Every story, every handshake, every shared meal reminds me that ministry happens not just inside the church walls—but wherever hearts are open.

Last June, we had the joy of officially welcoming ten faithful brothers and sisters into our Mosaic Fort Worth family. Many of them had already been attending and serving with us, but through this process, we were able to take a meaningful step forward together. What makes it even more special is that God has brought this group from different cities, states, and even countries. It’s clear He’s weaving something purposeful in our midst.

We have completed our five-week Next Steps Course, and I was grateful to walk through it alongside them. The course is designed to share the story and vision of Mosaic, help people connect with the church, and discover how God might be calling them to serve and grow here in Fort Worth. Beyond the content, it became a space for unity and deeper connection. It was such a joy to finish that journey together and to see how God is shaping His Church one relationship at a time.

One of the sweetest moments this summer was our Ice Cream Social—a simple outreach filled with fun, laughter, and meaningful connection. We invited our neighbors to join us for a night together, and it was a blessing to see families especially children from the community fill the space with smiles and conversation. While the interactions were light and casual, I truly believe it was an event where God could gently touch hearts in unexpected ways.

What looked like just a fun gathering turned out to be a doorway to connection. We met people we hadn’t met before, listened to their stories, shared laughs, and saw how God could use something as small as a cone of vanilla to open hearts. It reminded me that the Gospel often moves in everyday moments—when love is felt and people are truly seen. We’ll be hosting another Ice Cream Social this July, and I’m looking forward to how God will be felt again, and to the opportunity to pray with and minister to those who come.

Our monthly Community Lunches have become a meaningful rhythm in our life as a church. These shared meals are more than just food—they’re a space for connection, encouragement, and a growing sense of family. We’ve seen people open up over a meal, new friendships begin, and warm hospitality flow naturally from hearts that are eager to welcome and be known. Even as a young church, there’s something beautiful about how God is already knitting us together.

While everyone brings different stories and backgrounds to the table, we all look forward to these lunches—moments where we pause, share life, and simply enjoy being together. In the simple act of breaking bread, I can see God softening hearts and building something deeper: a spiritual family rooted in love. It truly feels like a glimpse of Acts 2:46 coming to life. There will be another Community Lunch this July, and I’m excited to see how God will continue building His church and drawing us closer to one another.

I am Grateful

To all of you who are already partnering with me in the ministry—thank you! Your prayers, encouragement, and support are a living part of everything I’ve shared above. I’ve seen God’s grace at work in every detail. Every salvation, every connection, every act of kindness is part of a much bigger story—and you are helping make that story possible. I pray that God blesses you abundantly as we continue to walk together in this mission. Your faithfulness is bearing fruit that will last.

If you’re reading this and share our heart for discipleship, outreach, or being part of a growing church plant, I want to invite you to prayerfully consider partnering with us in this mission. Thanks be to God, I’m already at nearly 70% of my partnership goal, and every new partner brings us closer to fully stepping into all God has planned. If someone comes to mind—someone who would love to sow into Kingdom work—please don’t hesitate to share this with them or connect us. Your support truly means so much.

I am believing for more divine connections, more lives transformed, and more hearts awakened for Jesus. The harvest is truly plentiful, and I’m trusting God to send more laborers—people who will help carry the vision, hold up our hands, and reach this city and beyond with the hope of Christ.

“I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself.” – Collosians 2:2 NLT
